I frequently travel around Philadelphia with my daughter. We take many long walks and explore many parts of the city during day trips. I have always been drawn to symmetry; I find it pleasing to the eye. I started taking photographs with my daughter as my muse, inserting her into various “symmetrical situations” while we were on our outings. Of course the scenes are not perfectly symmetrical – I cannot control the sunlight and shadows and there are other variables – but overall – there is a feeling of symmetry and Leah is at the center of it. This is an ongoing art project that has become a collection of symmetrical images as well as a document of time spent with my daughter.
