8th Grade Portraits

Eighth graders researched famous portraits, photographs, and/or styles of art that inspired them and then they created very large (18 x 24 inch) self portraits in acrylic. They were inspired by the heavy brush strokes of Van Gogh, by the bright colors of Expressionism, by the sophistication of Audrey Hepburn, the pop influence of Roy Lichtenstein, and the soft hues of Impressionism.
