Multicultural Life Sized Figures

In preparation for a school wide multi-cultural fair, students in a seventh grade art elective studied various countries, selected a country that interested them, and then studied the traditional dress of the people from that country. Art students reviewed the process of drawing the human figure using the correct proportions. They then prepared for the challenge of creating a life sized human figure. Working in groups, they sketched ideas for a life sized figure that would represent their chosen country. There were several figures from countries in Africa, Europe, and South America.
